Jared Bernstein on the Obama Corprate Tax Plan

Jared Bernstein has a good read on the basics of the Obama corporate tax plan.  Looks like the right's wish for a lowering of the tax rate has been granted.  I doubt that they will be happy with the widening of the base however. 

In addition, Bernstein also has another entry in his blog related to a big reason why corporations prefer to finance operations via debt issuance as opposed to raising money via equity financing.

Chart below shows the huge discrepancy.  Looks like a good move would be to eliminate the interest rate deductions that corporations are entitled to.
